Area 51
is simply the best skatepark in Holland. It boasts a very big wooden bowl and many obstacles, all set in the
cosy environment of a former airplane hangar.
Gideon and I are visiting our old skate-buddy Ramon here. Ramon has a rehearsal studio at Area 51 and he helps out there.
We were able to visit when the park was closed for maintenance. The pictures also show the wooden submarine Ramon has
built from the remaining wood of the bowl.
Whilst visiting we actually ran into some more old friends we used to skateboard with, like Sammy, who is now also
helping out at area 51 and Jeroen Sars, who owns 100% skateshop in Eindhoven.
