DTP work

Part of my volunteerwork at the local youthcenter was doing the layout of a magazine that was published periodically, I also got to design some of the posters of performing bands.
The magazine, called "popinie", was an experiment which has stopped in the meantime unfortunately. Although there were numerous issues published, I could only find one coverscan in my archives. So here it is, the cover of Popinie: popinie coverscan popinie coverscan

Websites

As a websitebuilder you do not always have the luxury of a good designer. I have built some complete websites for people of which I am pretty proud of the way they look though. Here are some examples: yankee online yankee online is what I'm working on right now (2006). It is going to be a fully fledged e-commerce store. It has some very advanced management-tools, which originate from the babezone site I'm also working on right now. It is possible to add/edit/delete products, random pages and orders. kill.caress website One of the latest websites I made is the site for Kill.Caress, a band of some good friends. The design was done together with Bassplayer Tim. Tim is a designer by education, and I think the site works out really well. For this site, I even dabbled in Macromedia Flash, a piece of software I usually avoid like a plague. tavenu website This was the site for the local Tavenu youthcenter, which had an updatable agenda, some updateable pages and a photobook. Since it was made, the Youthcenter decided to let the site be redesigned. Not really an improvement if you ask me, but tastes differ, I guess. vvv Waalwijk website The site for the tourist information office in my hometown was designed together with Tjarko, long-time friend, ex-colleague and babezone partner. The site was designed and built in 1999, under the name "fullcircle", which Tjarko and I used back then. I think it withstood the test of time quite well, for such an old site it doesn't seem very aged. the babezone shop One of the few things I did 'design' for www.babezone.org is the shop. Not very spectacular, but I think it fits nicely in Grad's design of the site. At the moment of writing I haven't finished builing the babezone shop, but maybe by the time you read this it will be done. If that is the case it can be found here.
